 SAUZIPF ROCK
Tre bands della scuderia Garbage Dump sono state invitate a suonare al prossimo Sauzipf Rock, prestigioso festival che si svolgerà i prossimi 8 e 9 Agosto nella meravigliosa cornice naturale della Carinzia
(Döbriach - Austria).
Le bands coinvolte sono i bolognesi Alix (impegnati nella promozione del nuovo album "Good 1" prodotto da Steve Albini), i romani Doomraiser ed i pescaresi Zippo.
Finalmente anche la scena italiana inizia ad essere riconosciuta a livello europeo.

The band was born in 2001 by a Pietro Seghini idea that called some friends with the common passion of Blues, 60/70's Rockn'roll, Psychedelia, Surf and the pure music.
The name derives from the revelation of Holy Mary occurred in the end of 14th century by an oak tree located on a hill near Bettola (a very tiny village in the country of Piacenza which is the Pietro's birthplace). The first line up (two guitars, a lap steel, bass and drums) produced a self-produced 4-tracks EP called Nihil.
Than came a new drummer and a new bass player from the surf band called “Liquid Germs”. In 2002, OAK’S MARY recorded at Elfo Studio their first full length titled “Tamarindo” which includes 10 tracks .
It has been produced by Desert Fox Records and distributed by Brainstorm Distribution.

OAK’S MARY shared the stage with bands like Eagles of Death Metal, Brant Bjork & The Bros, Dozer, Gorilla, Deville, The Spores and a lots of good Italian bands of every kind of music.
In 2005 the band started the recordings of their second album titled “Car Wash”.
It was officially out in 2006, it received a lots of positive feedback all around the globe and it has been distributed all over USA and Europe.

In 2007 OAK’S MARY started to working on the new record.
Now it is almost ready, the band made a short live recording in studio just to listen to the arrangements of the new songs and now they are ready to record.
In October 2008 OAK’S MARY will open some Italian shows of the new Brant Bjork’s European tour, that’s the why they’d like to finish the record before that date.

Growing out with any tunes from the 70's, OAK’S MARY love bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Stooges, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Kraftwerk, all the 70's Funk, but they also appreciate more modern bands like Loop, The Heads, Earthlings?, Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, Man Or Astroman? and many many more

Their music is simply the vision of everything, sometimes it’s nervous and aggressive and sometimes very quite, romantic and visionary ...
