SAUZIPF ROCK

Formed in 2003, the Italian outfit THE ORANGE MAN THEORY sound as a hardcore band influenced by a strong love for groovy dischords, a punk-indie attitude, a reasonable addiction to death metal and a real devotion for 70's super rock.
Combining all this stuff with movie quotes, pitched samples, radio wave frequencies and the weird intention of playing something different, TOMT perform a sick and disturbing music that will take you throughout unknown sonic territories. After some months jamming together and after a tight line-up was build, the band worked with high- pressure on its early material and played a lot of shows around. On july 03 The Oranges decided to record a 4-track demo and ship it to whoever could be interested.
Their cd fell into the hands of the underground producer Today is the day's Steve Austin (Converge, Unsane, Lamb Of God) who appreciated their sound and invited them to record in his studio.

On August 2004 The Oranges flew to USA and recorded their first album "Riding a Cannibal Horse from here to…" at Austin Enterprise Recording and Mastering in Clinton MA. The work is produced by Steve Austin.

On October 2005 the band signed a deal with the indie label Indelirium Records for the album release. On December 2005 the band released its first full-length "Riding A Cannibal Horse From Here To…" (Indelirium Records). Steve Austin from Today Is The Day appears as guest vocals and keys on two songs. The album is distributed in Europe, Usa, and South of America through DIY and official ways. In a few months it was critically-acclaimed by the most important Italian, European and US magazines and web portals such as Metal-observer.com, Stonerrock.com, Hellridemusic, Metal Hammer, Kerrang and many others. During 2006 the band performed a lot of gigs all across Italy, Switzerland, France for promoting the album.

During the summer of 2005 The Orange Man Theory are massively promoted in the most of the South America's countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Perù, Uruguay, and Mexico as well. The promotion campaign through Latino America gained a huge interest among those people and that underground scene and thanks to many promoters involved, this will be a good launch pad for an upcoming Oranges' tour all over those countries. In the summer of 2006 THE ORANGE MAN THEORY flew to Bogotà to tour the South of America with the Mexican metal band Anton. Over there they performed 30 shows across six different countries (Colombia, Equador, Bolivia, Perù, Chile, Argentina) to spread their rock out and make lots of kids headbanging. In Bogotà the band shared the stage with the hardcore legend Sick Of It All, during their first appearance in Colombia in front of more than a thousand people.

Just a while before the South America Tour the band signed to the US label Supernova Records for the re-release of their debut cd in the United States. On October the 30th THE ORANGE MAN THEORY appeared at Supernova Records Showcase @ Lit Lounge in Manhattan, New York City, sharing the stage with their label mates Taipan (Today Is The Day side project), Christine, Defcon4, Diesel Theory.

After the departure of their bass-player Remo and the definitive split with their founder drummer Merendina, THE ORANGE MAN THEORY set again their line up by taking on Marco ‘Cinghio’ Mastrobuno on bass and started trying out some drummers. The research of a suitable drummer is hard and troublesome but two friends of them, Tommaso Moretti (from Thrangh) and Mario Iuliano (from 3RD) helped the band to keep playing and touring throughout the whole 2007. Indeed on March THE ORANGE MAN THEORY left for a 12-days European tour over Germany, Italy, Holland and Belgium. The year 2007 sees THE ORANGE MAN THEORY playing all over Italy and appearing at the Total Metal Fest among with Dark Funeral, Rage and Vision Divine. Although their proposal is a way more abrasive and noisy then the rest of the bill, they earn the enthusiasm of a crowded metal audience.

With their debut cd finally out, distributed in the USA through Red MRI (Sony) and praised by the US main music magazines such as Revolver, Decibel and Metal Maniacs, the four dudes locked in their rehearsal room and start working on their second album.

On February the 25th, the band flies to Nashville, TN, and enter the Austin Enterprise for their 2nd album recordings, with Steve Austin behind the desk again. The sessions take just 12 days, and soon afterwards THE ORANGE MAN THEORY hits the road for their first Midwestern Usa Tour among with the Chicago’s metalheads Bible Of The Devil. During the course of the Tour the band plays at SXSW Festival in Austin,TX and impresses the American masses with its crushing set, also debuting their more progressive-grind new material.

THE ORANGE MAN THEORY played with:
Sick Of It All, Ephel Duath, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Taipan, Cripple Bastards, Anton, Undertakers, Dark Funeral, Rage, Vision Divine...
