SAUZIPF ROCK

ZIPPO starts in Pescara (Italy) and reaches the definitive line-up in the summer 2004, thanks to the arrival of the singer Davide Straccione. They play a thousand-faces-stoner-rock with various influences. Iper-distorted and pachydermic sounds against moments of insane tranquillity or psychedelic schizofrenia. Oneiric and melancholic vocals are fully mixed with the rhythmic section’s groove - Tonino Bosco (bass) and Federico Sergente (drums) - and the guitars’ extreme hardness by Silvio Spina and Alessandro Sergente. Our guys work hard creating their music, entrenched night and day in their little and humid rehearsal room, turning their anger into vibrations.
In October 2005 ZIPPO enters the studio to immortalize their own hallucination.

"Ode To Maximum", first self-produced full-length of the band, finally sees the light of day. Ten tracks... from the calm to the storm.

However, the only way to enjoy the band’s sound is to be at one of their gigs, the very high volume is the necessary condition to feel the vibrations coming out from the cranked amps. Live activity has always been a priority, as you can see from the good many concerts around Italy and Europe, sharing the stage even with great bands such as Orange Goblin, Colour Haze, Brant Bjork And The Bros, Witchcraft, Solace, Stereochrist and more...
Meanwhile, their sound got heavier, darker and more psychedelic.

The band is currently working on the new tracks which will be part of a concept-album inspired by the highly discussed book by Carlos Castaneda, “The Teachings of Don Juan” (1968), a true report of his experiences with a Yaqui indian shaman.
